Apologies if this is off-topic here, but I didn't see that there's a more appropriate forum for it...
A couple weeks ago, I noticed the following message Arkivmusic.com (Naxos-affiliated company that sells classical CDs, for anyone unfamiliar with it):
"Be Back Soon! Thank you for visiting our store. Our team is working on system upgrades to better serve you, our amazing customers. This work requires that we temporarily take our website offline, but we will be back soon...."
I checked again today, and the message is still there. That seems like an awfully long time for an online company's webpage store to be down. Anyone know anything more?
Just FYI, as of today the Arkivmusic website appears to be completely down-- not even a message.
They have a Facebook presence, last updated in November. I sent them a message letting them know the website is down and giving them the error message. However, I have to assume they already know this.
Arkiv and Presto both misbehaving! It could be a streaming music plot. 😉
@jchokey, Arkiv responded immediately to my message to them on Facebook. Here's what they said:
Hi Rose, thank you for reaching out! We are aware of this issue and are currently working to resolve it. This is a temporary error related to our wider site upgrades and downtime. We will be back soon! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information soon!
@capriccio:
Thanks for providing those details. Hopefully they do come back.
FWIW: The main reason I'm trying to reach them is that they recently sent me a duplicate copy of an order (9 discs!) that they had sent me back in September, and I want to confirm arrangements for returning them.

Ha!
So, I got an e-mail message from Arkiv's customer service with a mailer for returning the duplicate CDs they shipped to me.
I followed up to ask about the website and got the following message:
"The store is currently closed for maintenance and site updates. We are working hard to be back up and running as soon as we can, but there is not a set date for the relaunch at this time."
It's weird that they haven't bothered to put up a notice to that effect on the website. Unless they're doing major changes such as moving to another host and rebuilding from scratch, there's no reason why they shouldn't do this.

It is odd.
FYI: I notice that the website is now back up with the "Be Back Soon" message. So maybe it being completely gone was jus a temporary glitch?
I was browsing the forums here after a long absence and noticed this thread that I started nearly a year ago.
I decided to check and looks like arkivmusic's webpage and online store is back up and has gotten a major makeover in terms of both appearance and functionality.
