It is such sad news to hear that Radu Lupu died earlier this month.
By all accounts he became increasingly reclusive, and I’m especially saddened that I never had an opportunity to be in the audience for one of his concerts. Did anyone in the community here hear him play live?
His recordings, however, are a treasure: never showy, but played with such natural, appealing musicality. They sound just right.
