sometimes I do actually like Handel sung in German but I think I will continue this in the Handel forum... 🙂

Rather than pursuing this in the Handel forum, maybe we can make it a wider discussion about language in music? For example, Rachmaninoff's The Bells has a complex translation history - English or Russian? What makes sense?

I'm going to create a 'Musical Controversies' sub-forum to house discussions such as this.
